Still a mystery, but we’re getting closer. Ohio Electric Car Company was underwritten in 1909 in Toledo, Ohio. Initial production of 10 in 1910 grew to 650 by 1916. Priced from $2300 to $3200. This was considered the Cadillac of electric cars. No Known covers with corner return address. Very strange for a pattern with this many known singles. Several used singles bear a Kinzie Station cancel. This is a Chicago post office. Ohio Electric Vehicle Company had a store front at 2011 Michigan Ave in Chicago. Michigan Ave. was known as, “Gasoline Alley”, with no less than 65 car dealers located there. Perhaps the Schermack Mailing Machine was located there? The Perfins Club assigned this pattern to Ohio Electric, so there must have been a known cover at some point. Well worth the search, it would be a RARE find!
