Notes Skinner-Eno as PP-T1 on page 164 indicates use in 1861-66. They gave an illustration of it on cover as well as a sketch of it. My other example is not at all centered on the stamp, but ties a #65 to cover. I have not been able to determine a year for the cover so cannot add to the date range Skinner & Eno posit. Oddly, my two and two other examples not in my collection I have seen of the "pine tree" cancel all have the tree pointing downwards, and to the side. Another fifth example I have seen shows it pointing to the side. Makes me wonder if it was a pine tree or a spinning top, cause there is a slight curve at the bottom branches of the tree! But Skinner & Eno called it a pine tree so that's the standard description.
