'Pointing Hand' aka 'Return To Sender' Census

This community project is a database census of the
'Pointing Hand' or 'Return To Sender' auxiliary markings.

'Pointing Hand' or 'Return To Sender' auxiliary markings are a fun and interesting area of postal history. Used since the 1860s, the 'pointing hand' has become an iconic symbol for designating the mailed item be returned to the writer/sender.
