The Variations in the Lines in the Toga Button on the Offset Stamps

Type IV

The lines in the toga button form the word "DID" with the first "D" backwards. This occurs in Type IV only and is the easiest way to verify Type IV stamps.

Type V

The 1st and 5th lines in the toga button are not joined and therefore do not form the "DID" of the Type IV stamps.

Type VA

The 1st and 5th lines in the toga button are not joined and therefore do not form the "DID" of the Type IV stamps.

Type VI

The 1st and 5th lines in the toga button are not joined and therefore do not form the "DID" of the Type IV stamps.

Type VII

The 1st and 5th lines in the toga button are not joined and therefore do not form the "DID" of the Type IV stamps.
