The line separating the base and the top of the numeral is weak and often broken in Types IV, V and VA.

Type V

The line separating the base and the top of the numeral is weak and often broken in Types IV, V and VA.

Type VA

The line separating the base and the top of the numeral is weak and often broken in Types IV, V and VA.

Type VI

The line separating the base and the top of the numeral is strong and thick. This is quite apparent and is the distinguishing feature of Type VI stamps

Type VII
