Non-denominated stamps contain no printed value on the face of the stamp. This was largely done to in an effort to be prepared for the approval of rate increases which at times was difficult to determine. The United States issued its first non-denominated in 1975 and issued them through 2009 when ‘Forever’ stamps began to be used.
